Kol Nidrei – Keep Your Vows!

UNIFY UPDATES – October 2022 / Tishrei 5783

In days to come Jacob will take root, Israel will blossom and bud and fill the face of the world with fruit. Isaiah 27:6

Our Special Yom Kippur UNIFY Prayer and Fasting Conference was led by Archbishop Dominiquae Bierman directly from Jerusalem. Yah is opening the hearts of His people during this feast season. Archbishop could feel it all over the Holy City, especially when she visited the Kotel for the Yom Kippur prayers. As the Orthodox Jewish men were selling live chicken for redemption offerings, Archbishop began to share her story of the Redeemer, telling them her miraculous salvation testimony (if you have not yet read it, order her book Yes!). They were very touched and asked her to pray for them. We continue covering Israel and the Jewish people with prayers, Ruach is moving in the Land!

Kol Nidrei – All my Vows

Teaching from Jerusalem, Archbishop Dominiquae Bierman

The Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem begins the Preparation prayers for Yom Kippur with a prayer called Kol Nidrei, meaning All my vows. He leads the people to repentance of broken vows or promises, releasing them from the curses that such unkept vows bring.

The plague of breaking vows and promises runs all over the body of Messiah as well. People promise and vow lightly, then give excuses for not keeping their word.

There was a time when I broke my vow to travel to the nations as a Jewish Apostle. My daughter was seriously sick, in and out of mental hospitals, and in my attempt to rescue her I stopped traveling to the nations. Three and a half years later, my daughter had not improved, and I was desperate. Then the Holy Spirit showed me that I had been like Jonah, forfeiting my call to travel. I repented and ran to the nations crossing three continents in a week – I was making restitution. As I obeyed, my daughter began to recover as well.

Above all, we need to be faithful to YHVH and the calling He has given us – only then can we be faithful to our family. Let us not make other people into gods to be above Elohim. He must be first!

I have been cultivating the importance of keeping promises. He considers us fools when we vow things we cannot keep,

“When you swear a vow to God, don’t delay in fulfilling it. For He takes no delight in fools. Pay what you vow!” Ecclesiastes 5:3

Sacrificing thanksgiving offerings and keeping vows go together,

“Offer Elohim a sacrifice of thank offerings, then fulfill your vows to Elyon.” Psalms 50:14 STB

“I am under vows to You, O Elohim. I will present thank offerings to You.” Psalms 56:13 STB

Our commitment for this Shmita year is to blow Shofars and sacrifice Thanksgiving offerings (Watch the Shmita Year teaching).

Many times, people do not keep promises because they feel like victims. But when we offer thanksgiving offerings, the victim mentality breaks, and we move ahead, keeping our vows. Vows and promises rule our circumstances; our circumstances should never dictate our commitments.

A good example is what happened to our team from Hong Kong. They had committed to come to Israel for Sukkot but also to not take the jab. (Read their amazing report below!) They went ahead according to their promises before YHVH, not according to their circumstances, and He backed them up!

Also, Rabbi and I should not be in Israel right now! When we were supposed to travel, Hurricane Ian was approaching Florida. We function under complete faith and commitment, and we also had many commitments here on the land, which we would have broken if we had not made the flight.

The storm is not in our control, but prayer is, and we need to ask His direction amid impossible situations. We prayed with the team and then again in the Midnight Watch. As I asked Yah what I shall do, He said: Proceed to leave at full speed.

We could not find earlier flights; nothing opened. Finally, after the Midnight Watch, I found a very particular flight that required me to receive a confirmation in 24 hours, but we could not wait for that as the plane would leave in 3 hours! In faith, we took to the airport with our heavy suitcases. Unlike our original flight, this was going to be an economy flight that did not include 70-pound suitcases. But we had everything for the Sukkot Tour with us and, in faith, we went to the counter. The attendant just smiled and said, “No problem, I’ll pass everything you have.” That was an extraordinary miracle!

As we approached the next counter in New York, we were asked to pay $900 extra each to be able to board an earlier flight. Since we had committed ourselves to go, we agreed to pay, but then she said that she would find a way to avoid having to pay. After blowing the shofar in the long line, everything began to move, and soon we were on our flight to Israel one day early! That made it possible for me to go to Kotel for Yom Kippur prayers! (The day after all the Florida airports closed, we would not have made it.)

How important it is to keep our commitments, seek Him and obey His instructions. I pray that you will have this Torah written in your heart to keep your promises.

When there are difficulties, most people lose it and break their promises. But if you praise Him in the midst of trial, faith, encouragement, and the Holy Spirit come in, and then you can fulfill your vows day after day. When we are full of faith, we are also faithful!

So I will sing praise to Your Name forever, to fulfill my vows day after day. Psalms 61:9 TLV

Take the examples of Rabbi and me, and D’vora and her group, and begin to move in faith. It’s better to take a risk to be wrong, to trust too much, to have too much faith, or take even the risk that you did not hear Yah right than to err on the side of doubt and unbelief.

What moves the hand of Yah is our faith and commitment to keep our promises.

Yeshua told the people,

But let your word ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No’—anything more than this is from the evil one.” Matthew 5:37 TLV

Keep your word! Keep your commitment! Do not change!

Reports from the Nations

Enlargement is happening!

Apostle Markita Brooks, UNIFY member, USA

After reading Archbishop’s Shabbat letter “From Perazim to Enlargement“, I shared this testimony with her. My family and team members went to Orlando, FL, from September 8 to 12th to start a new chapter of the Invitation Movement and facilitate a Healing Circle and National Kingdom Council Gathering on addressing abortion in post-Roe America. During the Healing Circle, powerful testimonies came forth, including one from an abortion survivor whose mother tried to abort her. During the National Kingdom Council Gathering, the Lord revealed a strategy for strengthening the pregnancy support network in the Orlando area and duplicating that model in other cities across the USA. Additionally, all of us present experienced revival and my knees were healed.

Also, The Truth In The Spirit was given a historic 100-year-old church building and 2 acres of land in Hayes, VA. Just before Yom Teruah, our attorneys filed the last remaining paperwork to legally transfer the land and building to The Truth In The Spirit. We’re also establishing a new congregation called Congregation Or Shalom in Central VA. I began a new Bible study called Messianic Midrash with this congregation in August to prepare for the Fall Feasts, and I broadcast it for the rest of the ministry members and partners elsewhere. On Yom Teruah, we held three live Yom Teruah Services. The two Erev Yom Teruah Services were held simultaneously in the new sanctuary in Hayes and Central VA with the new congregation. From now on, we will host live Feast Day and Shabbat Services in 2 locations simultaneously while broadcasting online for those outside of Virginia, and this is our first Shabbat doing so. Enlargement is happening! This is the season!

Australia Standing with Hong Kong & China

Mathilda Cuthbertson, Australia

From the 1st of Elul, Australia UNIFY embarked on a 40-day journey of Teshuva and stood in unity with Hong Kong and China to pray for open doors specifically targeting the travel ban and restrictions for international travel for those unvaccinated. Given that they had so much faith in registering for the Sukkot Tour, I decided to support them through intercessory prophetic prayer.

Throughout the journey, we didn’t see any results for Hong Kong and China, but miraculously, the answer came on the last day of Elul – the month of mercy. WOW!

As we all prayed throughout the fast, a miracle happened on September 23, 2022: Hong Kong and China are easing COVID-19 restrictions for the first time on the last day of Elul. Gates have opened for the unvaccinated to leave the country and return back into the country freely. HalleluYah! What an elevation of faith for us all. This miracle is a perfect reminder for us that “whatever we ask in prayer, we will receive if we have faith” Matthew 21:22

What an effective cooperation! This is an example for all of us to stand for each other and support other nations, standing in faith for miracles!

Standing in Faith for a Miracle

D’vora Cheung, Hong Kong & China

Continuing our 40-day fast, we prayed from 1:00–2:00 pm on 9/22 for the door to open for us to go to Israel. After that, we booked the flight tickets in faith. As we finished booking at 3:49 pm, the Government announced a new policy for the unvaccinated to enter Hong Kong. The red sea separated, and a miracle happened!

This battle of faith taught us to stand in faith through grace and about the importance of immediate obedience. We had booked the tour before the deadline but then waited to see if the gate will be opened before booking flights. I forgot that flight prices rise after September. Finally, I repented to YHVH and the Sukkot tour team members for looking at the circumstances instead of fully trusting in Him – and repented for delayed obedience, which is disobedience. Then as we booked the flights, the miracle happened. We even got to go to Israel a few days earlier and had a Yom Kippur in the land. This was a good trial for me, and I now have more trust in YHVH in this shaking end-time world. We all now have more courage to fight the battle until victory!

MAP Mission to West Ukraine and Slovakia

Apostle Sana Enroos, Sweden and Scandinavia

The one week MAP Mission trip to West Ukraine and Slovakia was a pioneer mission to these nations. I felt very privileged and honored to receive this mission from my beloved Ima. Ruach led us to share and sow the seed of the Gospel made in Zion in different ways through love, prayers, and ministering to Jews and Gentiles in Ukraine and Slovakia. We operated in peaceful unity and harmony.

Immediately after crossing the border to Ukraine, I felt the urgency and a war zone in the Spirit. I felt how demons are bloodthirsty in Ukraine, desiring more and more bloodshed. Ruach led me to deal with the blood guilt of the nation, showing me the Jewish blood guilt, child trafficking, and idolatry. Innocent blood is crying from the ground in Ukraine and the land is like a vast graveyard.

I understood that Ukrainians were killing their Jews besides the Nazis during WW2. Jews were and are still demonized in Ukraine. The story about Rivkah was heartbreaking. She managed to survive Auschwitz but could not in Ukraine. She lived in a small room without electricity and warm water for several years. One winter was freezing with a lot of snow. That year she starved to death, and people found her frozen in her place under thick masses of snow.

We visited the Jewish cemetery in Khust, where Rivkah was buried. We repented and cried for mercy! We also commemorated Archbishop Dominiquae’s beloved late son Yuval-Justin, who died in Ukraine recently. We proclaimed a plentiful harvest in Ukraine because he passed away there. We could barely walk after these prayers because Ruach was upon us so mightily.

In Ukraine, we served elderly Jews in their homes in three towns, sharing love and the Word and praying for them. It was very touching to see a soup kitchen that has been in operation for 23 years in the same tiny flat. Every week these precious people provided food for elderly Jews in the city of Berehovo.

We also had an opportunity to share the Word during the evening meeting in a local congregation. Eicha taught in Russian about the importance and restoration of the name of Yeshua. We left Russian materials (two The Identity Theft books and Healing Power of the Roots) to the Pastor and gave Shabbat letters to our host family, who provided us with daily meals.

We also did several significant Act of Repentance missions in Slovakia, visiting Shoa memorial in Zilina and repenting for the antisemitism and Jewish bloodguilt that is heavy in Slovakia.

We ministered in the congregation of Pastor Stanislaw Gawel with anointing, clarity, and authority given by Yah. Testimonials of Pastor Hanne and Eicha were powerful and encouraging. People also came from other cities, and we informed them about GRM and UNIFY. Many were hungry and received the message and prayer. Yah was on the move even though the Pastor was not completely happy with the Gospel made in Zion!

A beautiful end for the mission was prophetic dancing at the New Synagogue in Žilina.

Many things were covered and dealt with through this mission. I am so proud of my team for what they accomplished in the power of Ruach HaKodesh! Praise Yah!

UNIFY Flag Raised in Slovakia

Eicha Lohmus, Estonia

Shabbat blessing, anointing, and favor poured out through the UNIFY flag in Zilina, Slovakia, as we ministered in the congregation of Pastor Stanislav as part of our UNIFY MAP Mission to Slovakia and Ukraine. The first meeting was on Shabbat. Before the meeting, we asked the Pastor if we could lift the UNIFY flag in the main meeting room. He said that it (the flag) would take too much attention because they do not want to lift up any other ministry in their congregation. The same applied to offering the books of Archbishop Dominiquae we had with us.

The meeting started with worship songs and dancing as the women danced in a circle in front. We sat in the front row in our UNIFY T-shirts, but the UNIFY flag we just put on the small chair next to us. Suddenly a woman from the side rows came to us and asked if she could borrow the UNIFY flag. She took it, joined the worshippers in their dance, and stood in the middle of the circle. She lifted the UNIFY flag high with both hands, started to wave it, and eventually just stood in the middle of the dancing circle with a lifted UNIFY flag. Other worshippers continued to dance with their hands up toward the flag, catching the congregation’s attention. That was the moment when anointing in the worship broke out. Under the Shabbat anointing, we had an open door to minister, share, and preach.

One Person at the Time

Pastor Terhi Laine, Finland

The group in Oulu is testifying in the streets on Wednesdays. As this group uses the name Yeshua, one young girl paid attention to it and told her parents about it. Her father came to meet us, telling us that already for years their family have been using the name Yeshua, celebrating Shabbat, learning about the festivals of YHVH and dietary laws, and removing Christmas, among other things, out of their lives! We pray for Abba Father’s leading and wisdom to keep in contact with them for all of us to grow in getting to know Him more!

Our team spent a weekend in Raahe in Anneli’s home, sharing and getting built up together. We experienced His presence and fellowship with each other.

Eija is a faithful sower distributing business cards and flyers. She has met a Bulgarian restaurant owner. After opening the restaurant, she took a small gift with UNIFY flyers to the owner. She has also already been babysitting for their daughter, showing friendship, and building a relationship.

Eija also participated in a Christian gathering where she received an opportunity to give an Aaronic blessing to the people. They were very touched, and we pray for them to find the Jewish Messiah!

Loving the Jewish people

Pastor Hanne Hansen, Norway

Pastor Hanne has kept ministering to the Jews in her local synagogue. She worked as a volunteer at the Jewish Cultural Festival and attended the Yom Teruah celebrations there. “They have known me for a long time now, and it is obvious that they trust me and almost reckon me as one of the members. I cannot become a synagogue member if I don’t convert, but I am a part of “Shofar, the Friends of the Synagogue”association, which has started to include their non-Jewish friends among them.

Pastor Hanne was also part of the fruitful MAP mission to Ukraine and Western Slovakia (See the reports above). “I felt a blessed unity among us in the Team. We have different gifts that fit well together for the task. It was a blessing to serve under the leadership of Apostle Sana. We could also feel the spiritual support and prayers from Archbishop and the UNIFY Team, which were much appreciated!

7-Year Cycle of Breakthroughs

Pastor Dawid Yosef Lee, Malaysia

Some of the breakthroughs experienced in the Far East during the last 7-year cycle:

5778/2017 – The Far East, represented by Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Malaysia, joined the groundbreaking of the establishment of UNIFY in Yerushalayim. 5779/2018, we were again present in establishing the UNIFY Embassy in Yerushalayim, and our first GRM Graduate, Pastor Dawid, was ordained as the Far East’s Pastor. We also started the Traditional Chinese Local GRM group in the Far East.

5781/2020 – The first printing of Traditional Chinese The Identity Theft book.

5781/2021 – We completed the translation for the 13 GRM books in Traditional Chinese and the audio recording for the 81 GRM lessons.

5782/2021 – We launched the GRM Online Bible School in traditional Chinese. We also started the Ima Bat Ami group in Taiwan & Malaysia.

At Shavuot in Israel, Perach was ordained as a Pastor for Taiwan.

Faithfully forward

Pastor Perach Yang, Taiwan

We have two GRM graduates from Taiwan that will be graduating on Sukkot Israel Tour. They have also just finished translating the Yes! Book into Taiwanese, and they keep up faithfully with their prayer and worship meetings. The group of seven is excited to be in Israel for Sukkot!

Miracles After Miracles

Pastor Cesar Silva, Mexico

Pastor Cesar and the Mexican Team now have AGIMAP (Spanish GRM Bible School) students in multiple cities in Mexico and California, USA.

Many have received miracles connected to Restitution offerings. Alejandra Gonzales was afraid that the tumor in her body would be malignant, but she testified on Shabbat that the results came out negative! Silvia Zapata asked Pastor Nelda (Pastor Cesar’s wife) to pray for her serious family problem, and in just an hour, as she arrived back at her house, it was resolved. Rosa Bazaldua got healed from serious lung disease. Pastor Cesar received supernatural provision to attend the Sukkot Israel Tour and much more! Glory to Yah!

Blowing the Shofar Over the Equatorial Line

Pastor Marcelo Corral, Ecuador

The Ruach (The Holy Spirit) took my team and me to Pichincha, a high place in the mountains, 8 hours from Cuenca, to blow the shofar over all of Ecuador. When I was going up in the cable car, I saw two foreign men and asked where they were from. To my surprise, they told me: “we are from Israel.” Wow, this was no coincidence, I thought. I told them “Chag Sameach,” and they were surprised because I knew about the Jewish holidays. I told them that we are an Israeli ministry that keeps the Torah. When we got to the top, I asked them if they would allow me to blow the shofar and give them the Aaronic blessing. They readily agreed; as we finished praying, there was an embracing warmth.

Then the three of us went to sound the shofar to the four cardinal points and declared a time of Teshuva for Ecuador; we also sang songs in Hebrew; it was a very special appointed time.

Sounding Shofars in Peru

Pastor Sonia Gotelli, Peru

As we were preparing for the start of the new 7-year cycle in Rosh Hashana and Yom Teruah, we asked all ministry members and AGIMAP students to memorize the Shema Israel and Deuteronomy 6:4-9. We celebrated Rosh Hashana and Yom Teruah outside Lima in a country house called “La casa de la roca” (the house of the rock), and we had the freedom to sound the shofars all day long!

The brothers from Colombia and Panama started the AGIMAP school with great joy. Thus, we are extending the Hebrew roots of the faith to more nations in South America.

The group of shofar blowers went to San Cristobal hill to blow the shofars over the whole city of Lima, and they are committed to doing it monthly.

In September, our sisters Cristina and Jenny, were invited by Pastor Ana Lozano to the program transmitted by TV La Luz, Para ti Mujer, to explain the meaning of the Rosh Hashanah feast. Cristina had worked for six years with the Pastor in the past, and now the Pastor was very impressed to see her spiritual growth. She asked them to play the shofar in the pulpit, where they hold the weekly meetings of the congregation.

YHVH Perazim has begun to open doors for the army of Kad-Esh MAP Peru to sound the shofar!

*****

As we step in faith, keeping our commitments, miracles happen, beyond measure!

We give thanks to all our amazing UNIFY Delegates, Vice Delegates and Members for their hard work, faithfulness and generosity.

Let us keep blowing our Shofars throughout this new Week of Years, the Week of Shofars!
